Unlock delay per rule
Ben
This is on our dev calendar now - the approach we are leaning towards is a new block rule type, which is additive to your content policy. These rules would have their own locking behavior, or could optionally not be locked at all.

Ben Hey Ben, honestly, I love what you're doing, but you really need to keep us updated through the roadmap. It's very frustrating to wait so long for features and not know what's coming up...
Ben
John Doe Thanks for the honesty. We actually don't have the ability to administrate Canny feature requests right now. They significantly increased their pricing this year and we can't justify the expense. So we're just using it like a public forum right now and responding as users ourselves. But honestly, I'm not very good at keeping up with it.
I found it very challenging to keep the roadmap current even when we were on our paid plan with canny. The issue is that priorities change frequently, and some user requests have many pre-requisites in front of them. There are also some changes we don't want to signal in advance. For example, we have been working on Remote Supervision (MDM), since December 2025 and didn't know if we could actually release it, so I avoided talking about it until the beta was released. We've also been working on an "agent" for windows and Mac, but also it's quite experimental. There's a long list of features and capabilities (like this one actually) that were built out, but then ultimately scrapped.
Maybe someday we'll be able to hire a community manager who can assist with this. I appreciate your contributions and thanks for your feedback!

Ben Totally understand that you need to keep expenses in check. I also understand it's hard to keep a roadmap when priorities change frequently.
Really anything to help us look forward to new features would be nice. You could notify users when the idea is validated, for example.

This is a great idea

If this feature is implemented, I would love to see it extended to iOS and Mac config files as well, so that they cannot be uninstalled or altered after a profile is unlocked (after a global delay) - but only when their own separate delay has passed

Agreed!!

thanks for the suggestion!
