*Requests for LivingRoom App with Techlockdown*

I believe I have a really good feature request. I have been using Techlockdown with the LivingRoom feature for nearly a week now and very impressed with both, while previously having tried both Kidslox and Covenant Eyes. LivingRoom is a far better required screen recorder than Telescope (Kidslox) and Covenant Eyes, but what both of those have is the ability to autodetect (via AI I assume) graphic or sexual images. My accountability partner and I made a very quick observation: Logging in every day to scroll through and review numerous images is inefficient and unsustainable for an accountability partner, and it will only be a matter a time where I am feeling confident that I can use my device as I please, as they won't take the time to review the content. If the stored images in LivingRoom were autoscanned via AI that would be excellent. Even better would be automated alerts/emails/text messages to an accountability partners email/phone number if AI had detected something not allowed, with the image itself attached or a link the flagged image. Understand that may require increased subscription costs, but I for one, would pay for that.
The potential with LivingRoom is HUGE in my opinion. For others like me using techlockdown to help with porn use, LivingRoom can be the ideal solution. But because of the above problem (reviewing content being burdensome), I HAVE to use techlockdown to block basically everything that can be a trigger, ie whatever contains sexualized content (TikTok, Insta, Reddit, Facebook), which really sucks. This essentially make the LivingRoom app useless. With these blocked, and filters on Safari, there is really no reason to record the screen as there is almost no way to find "bad" content. In addition, I want to use FB marketplace, reddit searches for problems, etc, but I can't. The LivingRoom app, with proper features, could allow many techlockdown users like me the freedom and capability to use very helpful apps but with the confidence that their partner can easily keep them accountable.

Hi Christian,
Thank you so much for the detailed feedback! I'm thrilled that the app seems viable to you from an accountability standpoint, but am aware that we didn't launch with many features.
You're absolutely right that Image detection/alerts are critical for accountability. We launched LivingRoom with the most minimal amount of features possible because we weren't sure if it would get any users. We were skeptical if people would put up with having to manually record the screen, so we used the approach of launching quickly with the core concept before we had built out every possible feature.
But now that the app concept has been proven, image detection/alerts need to be implemented and is high on our development list of priorities. Other than supporting adult devices, which is possible now via the supervised mode setup tool, image detection/alerts has been the most widely requested enhancement.
We're working on this, but it will probably be early in Q1 before we have a solid release candidate for both alerts/image detection. However, we've been very productive with our development and I'm optimistic about that timeline. For example, the estimate for supporting adult devices was also early in 2026, but we've already delivered on that way ahead of schedule in 2025.
I hope you stick with us as we continue to improve on the app! Thank you again for such a detailed post.
